Crestron Home Extension Drivers that interface Z-Wave, Zigbee, and Wi-Fi devices utilizing a Hubitat automation hub.

In order to integrate wireless Z-Wave and Zigbee devices with Crestron Home, some sort of gateway or hub must be used. Hubitat Elevation C-7 and C-8 automation hubs have been chosen to provide this function.  The Hubitat is compatible with several hundred Z-Wave and Zibgee devices of several different types. No subscriptions of any kind are used.  Since all Z-Wave and Zigbee communications are local and do not require the internet, the Hubitat hub is efficient, reliable, and secure. There are no communication delays due to using a cloud service.  The Hubitat hub provides immediate unsolicited status updates for devices. Polling for device status is not used. In testing, lighting commands were typically responded to with status updates in 3-4 milliseconds.  Through the Hubitat web interface, devices can be acquired, configured, and checked out prior to interfacing with Crestron Home.

Logic Extension Drivers

Logic Exttension Drivers perform logic functions that are utilized on the Actions & Events page of the Crestron Home Setup App.  Logic module inputs are provided by Extension Driver Programmable Operations and module outputs are provided by Programmable Events. These drivers do not communicate directly with any external devices.

License Keys

NC Systems, Inc. drivers are loaded to Crestron Home Processors via the Crestron Drivers Portal.
